Awareness
Consider the amazing introduction of life to the universe! Looking back from here we see the chaos of Warmth, Light, Activity and Presence explode everywhere from the Big Bang birth of the universe. And then there was Form (Key 2). Throughout countless galaxies there were replicas of Form: stars, planets, rocks and flowing streams of liquid metals and gasses. Across the entire cosmos were endless landscapes and seascapes, mountains and valleys but nothing living! Nothing with any kind of Awareness. When Awareness happened, the entire universe changed!

In swirls of dark blues, purples and pinks, surrounded by the black of space, we look side-long upon the disc of what appears to be a spiral galaxy. In the center is a great Form (from Key 2) which looks suspiciously like the eye of a lifeform (a life Form). This card ushers the sentience of life into the universe. In the top-left corner of this card is the AON symbol for Awareness indicating that Awareness is part of the Self Well.
Somehow, from inanimate Forms, we jump to animated Forms. This is the leap from lifelessness to life itself! We know this is life because we are alive to say, “This is life!” How lifelessness came to life is a mystery our science has yet to explain. How did lifeless energy and chemical matter become aware of its surroundings? The leap from Form which is not aware of its surroundings to Form that is aware of its surroundings is a huge leap. We can think of this as nothing less than miraculous!

This may sound ridiculously simple, but remarkably, at some point in the history of the universe, some forms became aware of other forms. Forms which became aware of other forms were thus set apart - and these forms we call life forms! Nobody knows how this happened. Science has yet to explain how that which was not alive changed into that which was alive. But this initial Awareness is the precursor to what will become the Spirit-Consciousness we find in the layer above Awareness.
